On 17 September 2026, the grandeur of music and tradition came alive at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas during the Royal Command Performance 2026, organized by The Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) in collaboration with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). The evening was graced by the presence of DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, and DYMM Raja Permaisuri Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, adding royal distinction to a night of orchestral brilliance.
This year’s performance carried special significance as it marked the 25th Anniversary (Jubli Perak) of the Malay College Wind Orchestra (MCWO). A total of 52 White Knights took the stage, joined by the UPSI Winds, bringing together more than 100 musicians in a powerful collaboration that filled the prestigious hall with music, pride, and history. Guided by dedicated mentors, the orchestra’s discipline, sacrifice, and passion culminated in a performance that will be remembered as a milestone in MCWO’s legacy.
The spotlight shone on the Malay College Wind Orchestra, whose artistry embodied youthful energy and excellence. Adding depth and elegance to the evening was a special performance by The Seasons 4 Quartet, whose refined harmonies provided a contrasting texture to the grandeur of the full orchestra. Together, these performances created a balanced program that celebrated both tradition and innovation, youthful vigour and seasoned artistry.
As part of this historic occasion, MZR Group proudly served as the Media Coverage Team, ensuring that every note, every moment, and every emotion was captured and shared with audiences beyond the concert hall. From live documentation to curated visuals, MZR’s role was to preserve the essence of the evening, a performance that blended heritage, education, and artistry under one roof.
For MZR Group, being entrusted with coverage of such a prestigious event reflects our commitment to supporting cultural milestones and amplifying the voices of institutions that shape communities.
